My Process

1.

Learn

Now is the time to use active listening to learn everything about the product or brief. Designing something is hard if you don’t know why you’re doing it.

2.

Understand

Notes and quotes and interviews are great, now they need to be organized. What are the common themes? Who is your target audience? What are you trying to solve?

3.

Create

Journey maps, personas, site maps, wireframes…create what you need to visualize your goals and connect even more to the target audience.

4.

Design

Now breathe life into the product. Give it personality, color, and cohesiveness. Make it easy and satisfying to use. And then head back to step 1 and repeat.
